Attending Puppetry Festivals

The Puppeteers of America announced in their September Newsletter that they will not be holding a national festival in 2025 or 2026. The next national festival will be in 2027. Typically, POFA holds a national festival every other year and the last festival was in 2023 in Maryland. They are encouraging guilds across the country to hold their own regional and mini festivals.
If you are interested in attending a puppetry festivals your best bet in 2025 and 2026 is to attend regional festivals. You better believe that the GPAPG Board will be discussing the possibility of holding our own local festival in 2026! We will keep you up-to-date.
