Join the Philly Puppetry Guild for a full-day celebration of puppetry in all its forms at Day of Puppetry 2026, taking place April 18, 2026 at the Abington Art Center.
This dynamic festival brings together professional puppeteers, emerging artists, educators, and audiences for a day of performances, workshops, films, and hands-on activities across Abington Art Center’s beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.
Presented by the Philly Puppetry Guild, one of the oldest puppetry organizations in the country, the festival reflects the Guild’s ongoing commitment to supporting puppeteers, celebrating the art of puppetry, and building a vibrant creative community in the Philadelphia region.

General Festival Ticket
Festival Tickets allow entrance to the festival from 9:00 am - 8:30 pm and include all performances & many activities. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Tickets include evening programming. Workshops are an additional cost.

Table Top Puppetry Workshop
Discover how big stories can happen on a small stage. This interactive workshop offers a playful introduction to tabletop puppetry, focusing on presence, movement, and performance fundamentals. **Workshops are add-on to the a Festival Day Ticket. They are not stand alone tickets. Please ensure you have purchased a Festival Day Ticket. Ages 10 and up. Attendance to this workshop will be limited.
