Join the Philly Puppetry Guild for a full-day celebration of puppetry in all its forms at Day of Puppetry 2026, taking place April 18, 2026 at the Abington Art Center.
This dynamic festival brings together professional puppeteers, emerging artists, educators, and audiences for a day of performances, workshops, films, and hands-on activities across Abington Art Center’s beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.
Presented by the Philly Puppetry Guild, one of the oldest puppetry organizations in the country, the festival reflects the Guild’s ongoing commitment to supporting puppeteers, celebrating the art of puppetry, and building a vibrant creative community in the Philadelphia region.

Puppet Dungeons & Dragons
Join us for a live puppet-powered Dungeons & Dragons adventure! Guided by a Dungeon Master, puppeteers bring characters to life as the party faces monsters, surprises, and plenty of chaotic fun in this improvised fantasy quest. The quest will last 3 hours.

Movie Riffing Melee
Audience volunteers compete to riff a movie they’ve never seen before—follow the cue, deliver the joke, and rack up points. The winner is crowned Movie Riffing Royalty. Chaos, comedy, and good fun.

VIP Festival Pass
