Chad S. Parsons is thrilled to join the Greater Philadelphia Area Puppetry Guild as a new board member, eager to contribute to the guild’s mission and help find the best ways to serve its members. With a strong background in Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) and puppetry, Chad brings a wealth of experience in both performance and education. He earned his MFA in Theatre for Youth from The University of North Carolina Greensboro, where his thesis project, The Witches, involved collaboration with renowned puppeteer JeGhetto, (a board member of the Jim Henson Foundation), to create the intricate puppetry for the mice and the Grand High Witch.
Chad’s work extends to original productions such as Some Bunny to Love and Aunty Ben. Chad also loves to incorporate his skill sets as a magician into his storytelling for both audiences young and seasoned. Chad is excited to bring his passion for puppetry and theatrical experiences to help further the guild's initiatives and support its vibrant community. More about Chad at www.chadsparsons.com.
