Monkey Boys Productions

Puppet & Prop Fabrication Studio; Puppeteers

Monkey Boys Productions is an Emmy nominated, Philadelphia area production company that creates puppets, props, creatures, costumes, practical effects and entertainment for film, television and stage. Blending our own unique talents, our combined years of working in the entertainment field, our clients' needs and our unique sense of fun, we mix old and new techniques to create innovative, dynamic, visually and emotionally stunning work that is exciting and inspiring for both children and adults.

Our client base includes Sesame Workshop, Last Week Tonight, Field Station Dinosaurs, Sea World, Lincoln Center, WHYY, and various Broadway productions and theme parks. You may know us as the designer/creators of the puppets on Apple TV's Helpsters, the makers of all things weird and wacky on Saturday Night Live, or the makers of the Audrey II puppets for Off Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors.

Co-owners Michael Latini and Marc Petrosino also have many years of experience as professional puppeteers. Marc has made ‘appearances’ on film, television, and stage in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Saturday Night Live!, Sesame Street, with The Muppets on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Little Shop of Horrors (Broadway), Madama Butterfly (The Metropolitan Opera), and three Young People’s Concerts at Carnegie Hall. Michael's puppetry career began as “Bear” in the Bear in the Big Blue House Live, national tour in 2001 and he's been lucky to work with many shows and productions since then, including Little Shop of Horrors, Avenue Q, Johnny & the Sprites, Sesame Street, Walking with Dinosaurs LIVE, How to Train Your Dragon LIVE, The Muppets, Helpsters, & Saturday Night Live.
