Crankie Festival Meet & Greet
Arts After Dark presents a Crankie Festival at the Historic Smithville Park for FREE. This festival is co-produced by our own board member, Maisie O'Brien and you'll be hosted by Sally Moore. GPAPG members who attend will be introduced to each other & we'll try to sit together too. More info below.
This is a Burlington County Parks System free public event, held outside on the grounds of the Historic Smithville Park. What are crankies you ask? They are an old story telling art form. Start with a long, illustrated scroll that is wound between two spools. The spools are loaded into a box which has a viewing window. The scroll is then hand-cranked while the story is told, sung, or a tune is played. Arts After Dark is where Culture and Entertainment Meet! Join fellow art lovers for an eclectic mix of art, music, performances celebrating creativity and self-expression. Enjoy new and different art experiences, interact and collaborative art activities, live entertainment, delicious refreshments, and our current exhibitions all in one evening.
